Upgraded to PSVR2

A Fisherman’s Tale was originally released on PSVR and Oculus Quest systems back in 2019. After PSVR2 was released it got an updated version on PSVR2 system end of August 2023. I never played the original game so when it was released on PSVR2 I had to try it. I did play and review the sequel Another Fisherman’s Tale though.

Good storytelling

A Fisherman’s Tale tells a story of a fisherman Bob who lives in a lighthouse. There is a storm coming and your job is to get yourself to the top and turn on the light. Well, it’s not as easy as it seems since in Bob’s way there are mind-bending puzzles and characters. The gameplay is rather simple yet intriguing. Bob has to re-size objects bigger or smaller by stretch them out to the outerside of the lighthouse, which makes them bigger, or make them smaller by dropping them into miniature lighthouse inside. It might sound difficult to understand how the re-size works, but the game is very good at guiding player to the right path.

There aren’t much more I can tell about the game since the whole game was about one hour long, which I thought was too short. A Fisherman’s Tale tells a nice little story which I believe anyone can play, since the game wasn’t overly difficult to beat.

The Last Fishing Line

A Fisherman’s Tale was rather short-lived but good experience. It’s one of those games that if you own PSVR2 you should definitely play it.

A Fisherman’s Tale is available on PSVR, PSVR2, Oculust Quest and Windows.
